He was taken to a near-by hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The ball hit on his chest, said Iqbal Market police station SHO Ghulam Rasool Rajpar.

The police officer added that parents of the boy did not want to pursue the case besides there were witnesses who saw the teenager being hit by a ‘very fast ball’ thrown by the bowler during the match.

The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

However, the relatives took away the body without allowing doctors to conduct its post-mortem examination, said a hospital official.
