Student’s complaint

AS an ex-student of O level, I want to highlight the unfair attitude of the Punjab government towards O level students. On the basis of the result of 2013, matriculate students have been awarded laptops whereas this has not been the case with O level students. This time even the students of private colleges have been given laptops. Students who had 78pc and above marks have got them but we are being deprived of this.

After the result of O level, we are forced to have an equivalence certificate (which is not free by the way). Then when the time came to give us something on the basis of that ‘equivalence certificate’, which the Punjab government had forced upon us, why did they back out?

Is it written on our faces that we belong to the elite class and, hence, we don’t deserve laptops? Or did they ask all students of the matriculation system about their fathers’ income? Why did they deserve it and why don’t we?

There have now been reports that tablet computers are going to be distributed among students who got marks below 78pc. Are we going to be deprived again?
