Intermission: No Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan in 2015

Following the immense success of PK and Bang Bang, it appears that fans of Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan will not be seeing any of their films in 2015, reported Hindustan Times.

After giving two 100-crore club films – Dhoom 3 (2013) and PK(2014) – Aamir would be next seen in 2016 in Dangal, a film about wrestling.

Seen last in Bang Bang, Hrithik would also hit the screens in 2016 with Ashutosh Gowariker’s film Mohenjo Daro. Ajay Devgan will also be joining their league with his film Shivaay slated for 2016 release.

In a round-up of Bollywood heroes who did not make an appearance in 2014, it was revealed that while some stars would be away, many would be returning to the screens this year with multiple films.

2015 will be a treat for cinegoers as John Abraham, Ranbir Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput and Imran Khan would come back with different ventures.

After garnering praise for Shootout at Wadala and Madras Café in 2013, John would next be seen in Welcome Back.

Sushant, who has three films lined up for release this year, will appear in Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, followed by Paani and an eagerly awaited biopic, M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story.

Speaking about the year-long gap, Sushant commented: "My next film is important to me, not because of the timing, but because it’s a special role. I learnt much more in these seven months than I did during eight years of working in theatre, TV and films."

Owing to the delay in release of Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet in 2014, Ranbir will now be spotted in the lead with Roy, Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha and Jagga Jasoos alongside Katrina Kaif.

Getting a lukewarm response at box office with Gori Teray Pyar Me in 2013, Imran who was away because of parenthood will be pairing up for the first time with Kangana Ranaut in Nikhil Advani's Katti Batti.

"I didn’t want to work immediately after Avantika’s (wife) delivery. So, it made no sense to sign films that required me to work in that period," said Imran.
