Hindus organise prayer for Peshawar attack victims

RAWALPINDI: The city’s Hindu community on Thursday organised a Puja (prayer) for the students and teachers massacred in an attack at a school in Peshawar on December 16.

The prayer took place at the house of Pakistan Hindu Sikh Welfare Council President Jag Mohan Arora and was attended by a large number of Hindus from the twin cities.

Participants also observed a five minute silence in memory of those who lost their lives.

Speaking on the occasion, Jag Mohan Arora said the Hindu and Sikh community was standing by the whole nation at this time of grief and sorrow.

“December 16 was black day for all Pakistanis whether Muslim, Hindu, Christian or Sikh because we lost half the country in 1971, and now terrorists killed over 130 children who were the future of this country,” he said.
