SOA’s badminton programme concludes

KARACHI: Bahria College North Nazimabad clinched the first position in the Sindh Olympic Association (SOA) badminton development programme for the youth which concluded here at the Badarul Hasan Badminton Hall on Thursday.

The event was held in collaboration with the Sindh Badminton Association.

Basic training of badminton besides knowledge on the competition rules was imparted during the program.

Dr Javed Yousaf Qamar, vice chairman of SOA was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and distributed badminton rackets, shuttle cocks, certificates, trophies and other prizes among the players. SOA secretary Mudassar Arain, Saleem Pracha, Muhammad Moinuddin, Mrs. Mahia Moin, Khalid Pervaiz and other sports dignitares of provincial sports associations were also present on the occasion.

Result:

Team Event - 1st position: Bahria College North Nazimzabad Karachi, 2nd position: Site Town Karachi, 3rd position: North Nazimabad Town

Individual competition (boys):

1st position: Asad Anees, 2nd position: Karamat Hashmi, 3rd position: Raheel Ramzan

Individual competition (girls):

1st position: Khizra Azam, 2nd position: Misbah Malik, 3rd position Kafara Zafa.
