Four killed in road accidents

ISLAMABAD: Four persons, three belonging to one family, were killed in separate incidents here on Friday, police said.

In the first incident, three persons suffered multiple injuries when a speeding dumper hit them while they were moving at I.J.Principal Road on a motorcycle.

The dumper driver managed to escape.

The injured were shifted to hospital where they were pronounced dead. They were identified as Umsan, Khalida Bibi and Kosar Bibi, residents of Bangash Colony.

In another incident a man Mohammad Mumtaz suffered injuries when a truck hit his vehicle at Dhok Paracha.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, five persons were injured in a gas explosion in a house at Bharia Town Phase-5. The police said that the explosion took place due to gas leakage resulted into burn injuries to Mohammad Amir, Moeet, Sajid Pervez, Amir Akbar and Mohammad Kamran.
