ISLAMABAD: One male and one female skier of the Ski Federation of Pakistan have reached Austria to participate in the International Ski Federation’s (FIS) alpine training camp.

The camp is organised every year in Stubaital and Hintertux, Austria under the FIS development programme.

The month-long training camp will provide Mohammad Karim and Ifrah Wali an opportunity to train alongside world class skiers in competitive environment. It will culminate on Dec 20.

Karim participated in the same training camp last year, which proved instrumental in his qualification for the Sochi Winter Olympic Games 2014.

Whereas Ifrah represented Pakistan in the first South Asian Winter Games held in India and won a gold medal.
