Meeting between Khan of Kalat, Achakzai good omen: CM Baloch

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has termed a meeting between exiled-Baloch leader Khan of Kalat and Pakhtun nationalist leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai as a good omen for the province.

“Two elders met in London, it was good,” Dr Baloch said. The chief minister said that his government has always stood for negotiated settlement of issues relating to Balochistan.

“We are ready to speak to everyone for the sake of peace and development of Balochistan,” Dr Baloch said.

When asked about differences in Balochistan government, the CM said that all out efforts would be made to address the grievances of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) legislators.

“Such differences in a coalition government is nothing new,” he said, adding that his government was determined to take all coalition partners into confidence while making decisions about the province.

Earlier shedding light on the education, the chief minister termed provision of education to the people as an answer to all ills of the society. He said that his government was committed to ensure provision of education to all children and that efforts were being made to ensure implementation of Article 25-A of the Constitution in letter and spirit.

“We want to educate and enroll our kids in schools,” the chief minister expressed the determination to promote the education sector in Balochistan.
