Apna Rozgar scheme

APROPOS letter captioned ‘Apna Rozgar scheme’ (Nov 7), the writer has objected to Rs2,000 being charged by the government for the application form for the scheme.

Moreover, the token money of Rs11,000 and Rs13,000 for different vehicles is not justified. Is it to increase the liquidity of the bank dealing with this scheme?

This ought to be done away with forthwith. No payment other than the price of the form should be charged. There should be down payment which should be charged only after the ballot.

There should be complete transparency in balloting without the interference of ruling party MNAs, MPAs and goons.

The age limit fixed for the scheme is 35 years. It is suggested that the age limit may be enhanced to 40 years to give a chance to a broader section of the population.

The Punjab chief minister is requested to look into the matter.
