PkMAP to continue struggle for democratic rule

QUETTA: The Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has vowed that it will continue its struggle for democracy, constitutional rule and rights of Pakthuns.

Addressing a public meeting in Zhob on Tuesday, speakers expressed the confidence that democratic forces would foil all conspiracies aimed at destabilising national institutions.

Paying tribute to their leader Kamal Khan Sherani at his fourth death anniversary, provincial ministers Dr Hamid Khan Achakzai and Abdur Rahim Ziaratwal, provincial president of the party Usman Kakar and central secretary Reza Mohammad Reza and others said that no compromise would be acceptable on principles.

They said that Mr Sherani remained in the forefront of the PkMAP since the time the party was led by Khan Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai and always fought for the oppressed, particularly Pakhtun people.

They said the PkMAP had always supported democratic forces in political movements and it would never allow remnants of the dictatorship to weaken the constitutional rule.

The PkMAP representatives said the party wanted to unite Pakhtuns on one platform and work for the development of Pakhtunkhwa province.
