Incomplete expressway

NAWAZ Sharif claimed in his pre-election campaign that he would run bullet trains. Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, while announcing the plan to revive the Karachi Circular Railway, claimed a train will run every five minutes. Both failed to fulfil their promises.

The construction of an expressway on the Malir river has been highlighted in the print media. The Sindh government has announced it will construct this expressway in collaboration with the Karachi administration.

The details of this project have not yet been published. The Sindh government could not complete the Lyari Expressway, what to talk of these mega projects.

The expressway can be completed if the project is handed over to a private party on a build, operate, and transfer basis.
