‘N’ government has lost public support, says Siraj

SWABI: Jamaat-i-Islami central emir Sirajul Haq has alleged that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz-led government has lost public support because it took dictates from the US to run the country.

Addressing a congregation of Jummat Ishaat Al Tauheed Wal Sunnah here on Saturday, Mr Haq called for unity among Muslims to foil ‘conspiracies the US and its allies hatched’ to weaken the Islamic world. “If there is unity among Muslims no one can defeat them,” he added.

The JI leader said that American-led Nato forces had tasted a humiliating defeat in Afghanistan and were now looking for a face saving exit. “Afghanistan has proved a graveyard for the invaders and the Americans, who considered themselves as the sole arbiter of the international order, have suffered humiliation in that country,” he said.

He said that when America invaded Afghanistan after 9/11, the JI had predicted that the US would face the same fate as the former Soviet Union.

Sirajul Haq alleged that the US in league with its friends Israel and India was targeting Muslims.

The JI chief said that the Americans and their supporters were now on the defensive across the Muslim world because of the resurgence of the Islamic revolution as people had realised that the US had failed to work for their welfare, but rather weakened them in league with its puppet regimes.

Mr Haq declared that the days were not far when there would be Islamic system in Pakistan and every one would get justice according to the Islamic laws and there would be no concept of rich and poor.

On the occasion, Jummat Ishaat Al Tauheed Wal Sunnah chief Maulana Mohammad Tayyab spoke about the dire need of unity among Muslims to meet the confronting challenges.

He said that main objective of the three-day gathering was to educate the people about their critical role to steer the country out of the current quagmire.
