Violating traffic laws

ADHERENCE to the rule of law has seen a sharp decline in every sphere of life. Few people follow traffic rules and regulations on the roads.

Massive traffic jams take place on the stretch of the highway between Rawat and Swan Bridge, as few people have road sense.

The irony is that the traffic police is to be seen nowhere around.

People violate traffic laws with impunity by driving both ways on a one-way road. Heavy vehicles parked on both sides of the road add to the problem. Besides, there are the queues at petrol pumps and CNG stations, making things worse.

Patients, students, commuters, etc., face massive problems on a daily basis by getting stuck on the highway.

The traffic police needs to take its responsibility seriously and do something about all this on an urgent basis.
