Fazl lashes out at Balochistan and KP govts

QUETTA: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that the nationalist government in Balochistan and PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have both failed to bring improvement to law and order in the two provinces.

Addressing the ‘Mufti Mehmood Conference’ here at Sadiq Shaheed football ground on Thursday, he said people of Balochistan complained about mutilated bodies found every other day and almost a similar situation existed in KP which amply showed that both governments had failed.

The JUI-F chief said that nationalists in Balochistan and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in KP had formed their governments through rigged polls and therefore they were not able to control the law and order situation in the two provinces.

He said people had seen results of `manipulated’ elections in both provinces, adding that the polls had been rigged to keep the JUI-F out of power.

He announced that people and his party would not allow rigging in future and would fight tooth and nail to check wrongdoing in the polls.

Maulana Fazl said his party believed in moderate politics and condemned extremism. He cautioned the people that evil forces wanted to promote sectarianism and ethnic polarisation to achieve their nefarious designs and create chaos in the country.

Lashing out at PTI chairman Imran Khan, he said the `westernized person’ was making hue and cry about the election rigging in other provinces but was silent about Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said the nation was facing a civilisation assault because of the PTI chief who was allegedly promoting western civilisation to undermine Islamic civilisation, spread immorality and misguide the youth.
