LWMC’s dengue awareness exercise

LAHORE: Government Girl’s High School, Shahdara, students took keen interest in the symbolic waste picking exercise held at the institution on Wednesday.

The activity was part of ‘Fight the Bite Drive’, arranged by the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) in the city to create awareness about dengue.

LWMC officials Jamil Khawar and Umair Khan gave the students a brief presentation, followed by screening of an animated documentary on the preventive measures against dengue and role of the company in ‘making Lahore clean’.

They also informed the students how the public could contribute to the exercise.

The activity was aimed at sensitising students on the importance of cleanliness, said a spokesperson.
