Tevta to go for job-oriented courses

LAHORE: Technical and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) Chairman Irfan Qaiser Sheikh says the authority will consult the industrial sector to introduce market-oriented courses at its institutes across the province.

He said the authority must help the skilled youth become a useful member of society.

Mr Sheikh said the availability of skilled manpower was not only a key to success for industrial development in Pakistan but also for individual socio-economic prosperity and poverty alleviation in society.

Considering the market trends and demands of the industry, the Tevta chairman said, course contents of need-based technologies of DAE and diploma of vocational training would be revised.
