REFERENCE the letter on Syed Ahmad. The writer mentioned some names while highlighting the services of Sir Syed.

I agree that Hali, Deputy Nazir and Mohammad Hussian Azad (and Ismail Merruthi also) were influenced by Sir Syed, but to my knowledge Shibli Nomani did not study at MAO College.

He established his own institutions in Lucknow and Azamgarh.
