TIMERGARA: Jamaat-i-Islami provincial chief Prof Mohammad Ibrahim said on Saturday that JI would part ways with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led government in the province if the recent changes in school syllabus were not withdrawn.

Addressing a party gathering here at Ahyaul Uloom, Balambat, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa JI chief said that they had been in contact with the PTI leadership in order to persuade them for not changing the schools’ syllabus.

He said that PTI had not opposed the JI stand on changes in curriculum. He said that the issue would be raised again in the joint meeting of coalition partners in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sept 24. He said that JI would have no other option, but to leave the government if their demand was not accepted.
