Door-to-door collections of hides not allowed

KARACHI: Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said on Saturday that nobody would be allowed to go door to door for collection of hides of sacrificial animals during the Eid-ul-Azha.

Speaking at a press conference, he said that use of loudspeakers and vehicles for door-to-door collection of hides was also not allowed, as the people would donate hides to any organisation or group of their own choice.

He said that the administration in consultation with all stakeholders developed a code of conduct and the organizations that had signed the document would be allowed to collect hides.
