Sajjad rewarded for 2013 IBSF world snooker win

KARACHI: The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has presented a cash prize of Rs100,000 to one of its cueist Mohammad Sajjad for winning the bronze medal in the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) world snooker championship at Latvia last year.

The former Asian No 2 and Korat Cup champion, a Thai ranking event, Sajjad has reached the semi-final at Latvia where he lost to Chinese player Zhao Xintong and secured a bronze.

Sajjad, who is among four cueists employed by the NBP, has also won the NBP ranking snooker championship for the second time at the bank’s sports complex the other day.

Senior Executive Vice President and group chief operations of the bank, Nausherwan Adil presented the purse to the cueist to acknowledge his feat.
