Rs3.7m cash, valuables taken away

LAHORE: Robbers looted cash and valuables worth Rs3.7 million and also thrashed a woman resident during five major strikes in the city on Thursday.

Three robbers barged in the house of Imtiaz in Officers Colony in Factory Area police remit and started looting cash and valuables. When Imtiaz’s wife Nusrat Batool offered resistance, the suspects thrashed her.

They escaped after looting cash, jewellery, foreign currency and other valuables worth Rs2.9m.

Two robbers entered the shop of Abdul Ghafoor in Akbar Shah Market in Mochi Gate police limits and took away Rs250,000.

Two robbers came to the Public Call Office of Waqar on Amair Road in Shadbagh police limits and looted cash and valuables worth Rs130,000.

Two armed men approached Fahad Khalid in Basti Chattar Khan in Raiwind City police limits and snatched Rs475,000 and a mobile phone while as many robbers waylaid Mian Fahad Masood on GT Road near PTCL Towers in Shalimar police remit and deprived him of Rs355,000 and a mobile phone.
