Advice to PM

AS a citizen, my advice to the prime minister is that he should not resign just because Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri say so.

If he resigns under pressure today, tomorrow no holder of public office can perform his duties because his opponents exercising their democratic rights would ask for his resignation. How many resignations will be tendered then, and who will run the public and state affairs?

The prime minister should now take all parties, including the PTI, into confidence and hold a midterm poll within six to eight months. In the meantime, he should carry out necessary reforms and amendments with the consensus of the house.
