IT was sensible of the army command to advise rulers to manage the situation, but the latter seems to have missed the point. It now appears they need real arm-twisting before being despatched.

Despite the repeated advice by the leadership of the Jamaat-i Islami, the MQM and the PPP to sort out the matter through negotiations, PML-N leaders are getting more aggressive and have started registering cases against the PTI and PAT leadership.
