Outlaw held

KOHAT: The police on Saturday destroyed a criminals’ den with explosives and arrested an alleged outlaw, besides recovering hand grenades from the spot.

Jarma and Saddar police jointly carried out the raid at the hideout of the criminals in Kamardand area, triggering an exchange of fire, which continued for an hour. The operation was led by DSP Sona Khan.

The police said that the arrested miscreant was identified as Saliheen, and claimed that at least three people, who were injured in the firing, managed to escape the area.

The police recovered a 7MM rifle, cartridges and five hand grenades from the den.
