Lions await govt signal for CL T20 participation

LAHORE: The Lahore Lions may miss the T20 Champions League in India, which qualifying round is beginning from Sept 13, as they are yet to get the green signal from the Ministry of Interior to apply for Indian visa.

As champions of the Pakistan’s T20 domestic tournament, the Lions qualified for the event and are attending a training camp, set up by the PCB, at the National Cricket Academy.

But as the interior ministry has not given permission to the PCB yet to apply for Indian visa, it looks difficult for the Lions to get the visa in time to reach India before their match against Mumbai Indian in Raipur on Sept 13.
