Robbers loot Rs3.3 million in six strikes

LAHORE: Gunmen struck six times in the city on Friday, injured a man on resistance and took away cash and valuables worth Rs3.3 million.

Two armed men stopped Awais Ali in Sabzazar Colony, snatched Rs15,000 and shot at and injured him on resistance.

Four armed men barged in the house of Salim in DHA's Q-block and took away car and valuables worth Rs1.3 million. Defense-B police have registered a case.

Three robbers busted into the house of Gull Baz in Johar Town's E-block, held the family at gunpoint and took away cash and jewellery worth Rs400,000.

Two robbers intercepted Qasim and his wife in Shahdara and snatched Rs1 million.

Two armed men entered a grocery shop in Shafeeqabad and took away Rs370,000.

Three armed men barged in the house of Aamir in Iqbal Town's Ravi Block, collected cash and jewellery worth Rs250,000 and fled.

ACCIDENT: A teenaged boy was killed in a head-on collision between a car and a motorcycle on Outfall Road on Friday.

Lower Mall police said the deceased was identified as Raheel while the car driver as Ijaz.

Police arrested the driver and impounded the car.

The police later released the driver when victim's family forgave him.
