Two awarded death, another two life term in honour killing case

NAWABSHAH: The second additional sessions judge, Nawabshah, Jalaluddin Soomro, on Tuesday awarded death sentence to two killers and life imprisonment to their two accomplices in a double murder case.

Imam Bukhsh and Raza Hussain Gadaro were killed on Aug 1, 2009. The case was registered at the Gupchani police station of Nawabshah against Wazeer, Zulfiqar, Mir Sahab and Mohammed Khan, all members of the Bhangwar community.

The court found Wazir and Zulfiqar guilty of killing the two persons in the name of honour. They were awarded capital punishment for committing the double murder.

The court also found Mir Sahab and Mohammed Khan guilty of assisting the killers in carrying out the offence and awarded them life imprisonment and a fine of Rs100,000 each.
