KARACHI: The Independence Day Cup figures prominently in a six-race card drawn for the Gymkhana race meeting which takes place at the Karachi Racecourse on Thursday.

The races coincide with the 67th Independence Day that is being celebrated throughout the country with enthusiasm.

Seven horses are to vie for honours in the Independence Day Cup, the fifth race of day’s programme, which will run over six furlongs.

The KRC has been decorated with national flags and buntings to commemorate the occasion with fervour.

According to schedule, the first race gets into action at 1.30pm.
