GUJRAT: The University of Gujrat (UoG) declared on Friday the results of BA, BSc and BCom (Part I/II) annual examinations held in April/May 2014.

According to a notification, as many as 5,721 candidates appeared in BA (Part I) and 1,375 of them passed the examination, showing a pass percentage of 24.9. Similarly, at least 5,936 candidates appeared in BA (Part II) and 1,796 of them cleared the examination, showing a pass percentage of 31.07.

A total of 2,705 candidates took part in BSc (Part I) and 1,067 of them passed the examination with a pass percentage of 41.45. While a total of 1,867 candidates appeared in BSc (Part II) and 1,259 out of them got through the examination with a pass percentage of 68.09.

A total of 1,290 candidates appeared in B.Com (Part I) and 188 of them passed the examination, showing a pass percentage of 15.51. Similarly, a total of 893 candidates appeared in B.Com (Part II) and 427 out of them cleared the examination, showing a pass percentage of 48.14.

In BSc, Maryam Raja Shaheen of Army Public School and College, Jhelum Cantonment, stood first with 675 marks, Saba Shafiique of Ibn-e-Imam College, Jalalpur Jattan, stood second with 670 marks and Rizwan Abbas of Government Zamindar Postgraduate College, Gujrat, got third position with 660 marks.

In BA, Saliha Sana of Government I.D. Janjua College for Women, Lalamusa, got first position with 625 marks, private candidate Madeeha Nazir of Rashidpur village, Sarai Alamgir, and Ghazala Fayyaz of Gujrat College of Commerce & IT for Women, Bhimber Road, Gujrat, jointly got second position with 602 marks while Rabia Shahzadi of Gujrat College of Commerce & IT for Women, Bhimber Road, Gujrat, got third position with 588 marks.

In B.Com, Maryam of Ibn-e-Imam Science College, Jalalpur Jattan, secured first position with 1,095 marks, Gul Zareen of St Francis Degree College, Sarai Alamgir, bagged second position with 1,091 marks and Arusa Shahnaz of Ibn-e-Imam Science College, Jalalpur Jattan, clinched third position with 1,068 marks.
