Over 900 rice bags stolen from mills godown

TOBA TEK SINGH: Thieves took away over 900 bags of rice worth Rs9.6 million from godowns of a rice mills in Kamalia on early Sunday.

Reports said mills owner Chaudhry Mubarik Ali told Kamalia Sadar police that thieves brought three trucks with them in which they loaded all the rice bags stored in godowns.

Kamalia police SHO Rana Afzal said the investigation was under way.

NO CLUE: The Gojra police have failed to find any clue to the murder of three people who were found dead under mysterious circumstances on Saturday in a house in Imamia Colony, Gojra.

Police have registered a case on Sunday against unidentified killers on the complaint of lady doctor Uzma Ambreen, the daughter of deceased Mian Manzoor Ahmad.

The complainant told police that some unidentified men first served her father Mian Manzoor Ahmad, his adopted son Kamran and young maid Umaira some intoxicant in the meal and then shot dead all of them.

Faisalabad RPO retired Capt Ihsan Tufail held a meeting in Gojra with DPO Dr Shahzad Asif, DSP Atif Imran Qureshi and investigation team members of Gojra SHO Aftab Siddiqui, Moongi Bangla police post in-charge Abdul Ghafoor and inspector Muhammad Aslam and directed them to arrest the killers at the earliest.
