Malik’s assurance to investors over security

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that his government will welcome foreign investment in the province in the agriculture, fisheries, mining and other sectors.

“Law and order situation has improved in Balochistan and the provincial government will extend all possible support and collaboration to foreign investors,” he said.

Mr Baloch expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) which called on him on Friday. The delegation was led by Deputy Country head Tracy Vienings and accompanied by Principal Staff Officer Mohammad Younus Sarpara.

“The services of the UNDP and the assistance it is providing to Balochistan are praiseworthy,” the chief minister said, adding that provincial government would extend every possible cooperation and security to investors.
