MITHI: Mithi police found the bodies of a couple hanging from a tree near Mughat village late on Thursday night.

Villagers said that the woman, Lachhu Kolhi, 18, committed suicide by hanging herself from the tree with the help of a rope apparently over serious domestic issues.

They said that her shocked husband, Jeso Kolhi, 20, came to know about her death and informed his other family members. However, they accused him of having killed his wife.

According to the villagers, after failing to convince them, Jeso Kolhi committed suicide the same way his wife had done so.

The couple had married some two years back and had a one-year-old daughter.
