RAWALPINDI: A newly-married woman committed suicide by hanging herself with a dupatta at her in-law’s house in Sadiqabad on Wednesday, police said.

Safina, 19, got married to Waqar Ahmed, a private university student, one month ago and started living with her in-laws.

Preliminary investigation suggested that Safina was in distress after being scolded by her in-laws for talking to her parents on phone for long hours.
