BHC asks govt to evict illegal occupants from BMC hostels

QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court (BHC) has directed the provincial government to help the Bolan Medical College (BMC) evict illegal occupants from its hostels. The court has given two weeks to the occupants to vacate the hostels.

A BHC bench comprising Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Mohammad Ejaz Swati issued the directive while hearing a petition filed by one Mahnoor seeking action against illegal occupation of hostels.

BMC Principal Dr Saddat Khan submitted that students of the college were facing inconvenience because three hostels for boys and two for girls had been illegally occupied by people who were not students of the college.

The court observed that the college had to rent private places for its students. It has to spend Rs20 million annually on these rented places and arrange buses for providing pick and drop service to students.
