Police excess
AFTER the terrorism incident of March 3 targeting the F/8 katchery in Islamabad, a number of police officials have been deployed on different sides of the courts.
It has been observed that the majority of them eat lunch or have drinks and tea at the eateries situated in the courts’ complex but they do not pay the bills. If the restaurant owners ask for payment, they are threatened with ‘dire consequences’.
The deployment of police officials is for the purpose of security; instead, they are not paying their bills.
I request the Islamabad inspector general of police to intervene directly in the matter because the police officials are not discharging their duties accordingly. I also request that the police personnel be provided lunch or dinner with a cup of tea so that they may discharge their duties properly.
