Pakistan to host New Zealand for Test series after 12 years

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will host New Zealand in a Test cricket series for the first time in 12 years in November.

Pakistan announced on Wednesday a tour in the United Arab Emirates including three Tests, five one-day internationals and one Twenty20.

New Zealand last met Pakistan away in 2002, and has since hosted Pakistan in 2003, 2009 and 2011.

New Zealand last won a Test series against Pakistan in 1985, and not away from home since 1969.

The series begins with the first test at Abu Dhabi on Nov. 11, followed by Tests at Dubai and Sharjah.

Dubai will host the T20 on Dec. 5 and the first ODI. Sharjah and Abu Dhabi will organize the remaining ODIs, which end on Dec. 19.

Schedule: Nov. 5-7: New Zealand v Pakistan A, Sharjah Nov. 11-15: First Test, Abu Dhabi
Nov. 19-23: Second Test, Dubai
Nov. 27-Dec. 1: Third Test, Sharjah Dec. 5: Twenty20, Dubai Dec. 8: First ODI, Dubai
Dec. 12: Second ODI, Sharjah
Dec. 14: Third ODI, Sharjah Dec. 17: Fourth ODI, Abu Dhabi
Dec. 19: Fifth ODI, Abu Dhabi
