LAHORE: The opposition in the Punjab Assembly has submitted a resolution to the assembly secretariat against the Pakistan Protection Ordinance (PPO).

The resolution submitted by Mahmoodur Rashid condemns the PPO as against fundamental human rights and a violation of the Constitution.

It demands that the federal government withdraw the controversial law which, Rashid says, exhibits authoritarian thinking of the rulers.
