Tribesmen in NWA fire at low flying US drones

MIRAMSHAH: Tribesmen tried to down US drones which flew over different parts of North Waziristan on Tuesday by firing in the air with light weapons.

Locals claim to have seen US drones flying at low altitude over Ghulam Khan tehsil, Saidgai, Hamzoni, Dandi Darpakhel and Miramshah. The drones also flew over some areas of Mirali sub-division from 4pm to 7pm, the locals said. The auto-pilot aircraft disappeared after remaining in air for three hours. The US drones took off from neighbouring Afghan provinces of Paktia and Paktika, some tribals claimed.
