Two brothers among three slain

QUETTA: Three people, among them two brothers, were gunned down in Satellite town area of the provincial capital on Monday.

Police said gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on a vehicle on Munir Mengal road, killing the brothers identified as Khushaal Khan Achakzai, 22, and Mira Jan Achakzai, 24, on the spot.

A cyclist was injured in the attack.

He died during treatment in a hospital.

Police reached the scene of the incident and shifted the bodies and the injured to the hospital.

“The target of the assailants was two brothers,” police said, adding the third person killed in the attack was a cobbler by profession. He was identified as Taj Mohammad.

The cause of the killing could not be ascertained. “We are investing the incident,” a police official said.

Two days ago, another person Shah Muhammad was killed by armed men in the same area.

He was sitting in his poultry shop when attacked. He was an Afghan national and belonged to Kandahar.
