105 Fata youth get skill training

PESHAWAR: The first batch of 105 youth from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas completed their skill development training in a total of eight market demand-oriented trades.

Aimed at fostering the social, economic and livelihood development outlook of the tribal youth, the second batch of youth will start their training in June, bringing the total tally of trained individuals to 177, according to a press release issued here Sunday.

Under the training, 24 participants received training on computer software, 40 on excavator operation, 17 individuals were enrolled in the driving curriculum, whereas, shovel operation, mobile repairing, motorcycle mechanic, plumbing expertise and tailoring specialisation training areas benefited a total of 24 participants.

The training was organised with the financial assistance of Fata Rural Livelihood and Community Infrastructure Project and technical support of the Institute of Rural Management. Trainees were selected from the project focus area including Mohmand, Bajaur and South Waziristan agencies.
