GWADAR: Police foiled a subversive plan by defusing an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on Coastal Highway in Gwadar district on Friday.

The device defused near Pleari area weighed about 15kg.

According to Gwadar District Police Officer Pervez Umrani, the IED was fitted with a timer and people informed the police when they spotted it.

Further investigation was in progress.
