LAHORE: While recently resigned Pakistan T20 captain Mohammad Hafeez, head coach Moin Khan and even PCB chairman Najam Sethi faced all kinds of blunt questions from the media, chief cricket consultant Zaheer Abbas could not show courage and left the venue in the middle of the media conference.
To the first question, Zaheer had negated the impression that he had said on Wednesday that old players would be sacked.
“There are no old players in the team and I never said it, so why you are attributing this word to me,” Zaheer asked the questioner.
When the second question was asked to him that how Pakistan’s five batsmen were stumped in their crucial match against the West Indies and what he had taught them, Zaheer got annoyed and left the conference, saying, “You better go and teach the batsmen yourself.”
In his initial words, Zaheer, however, said that during the meeting with the PCB chairman every matter was discussed in a pleasant atmosphere and as his contract had also ended, it was up to the PCB to take further decision.
