SUKKUR: All the canals off taking from Guddu Barrage will remain closed from April 1, to 30, 2014 for routine inspection, maintenance and necessary repair of the barrage infrastructure.

This was announced by the Guddu Barrage Sukkur chief engineer in an official handout issued by the information department here on Tuesday.

There would be no flow of water in any of the off taking canals, including Ghotki feeder, Begari Sindh feeder and Desert Pat feeder during the mentioned period, the announcement added.
