Woman, four daughters asphyxiated

SHEIKHUPURA: A woman and her four daughters died due to suffocation in their smoke-filled room at Nankana Sahib's Chak 85-GB on Wednesday.

Zubaida Bibi and her daughters -- Anam, Shakeela, Aleena and Aqsa Bibi -- were suffocated when gas leaking from a heater filled their room around midnight.

Zubaida Bibi's husband Faryad Ali was hospitalised in an unconscious state.

DOUBLE MURDER: A man killed his wife and daughter at Pathan Colony on Wednesday.

Ghulam Sarwar would often quarrel with his wife. On Wednesday, he again exchanged harsh words with her and attacked her and their daughter with a sharp-edged weapon. Both of them died on the spot. Sarwar courted arrest at Ferozewala police station.
