Landmine explosion kills child in Dera Bugti

QUETTA: A landmine blast killed a child and injured two others in Koh area of Blaochistan's Dera Bugti district on Sunday whereas another explosion on a bridge situated near Mach area on Quetta-Jacobabad section of the National Highway cut off the road link between Punjab and Balochistan, DawnNews reported.

A seven-year-old girl was killed and two other children were critically injured in a landmine explosion in Koh area of Dera Bugti district, according to Levies sources.

The victims were shifted to a nearby hospital.

In another incident, unknown persons blew up a bridge on National Highway near Mach area of Balochistan as a result of which vehicular traffic on the highway was disrupted and the land-link between Punjab and Balochistan was cut off.

Authorities were making arrangements
