NEW DELHI, Dec 15: A cold snap in the north Indian state of Bihar has claimed 16 lives in the past week, the United News of India reported Saturday.

The news agency said daytime temperatures plummeted to 9.5 Celsius in the city of Patna, well below the seasonal average.—dpa
