Tribunal starts mass graves probe

QUETTA: A judicial tribunal, headed by Justice Muhammad Noor Meskanzai of the Balochistan High Court, on Wednesday began investigating the discovery of mutilated bodies from mass graves in Tootak area of Khuzdar district.

The tribunal will record statements of witnesses and collect evidence at the Khuzdar sessions court from Feb 13.

The tribunal has asked people interested in getting their statements/evidence recorded to appear before the tribunal on that date.

TWO BODIES FOUND: Two bullet-riddled bodies were found near the Eas-tern Bypass here on Wednesday.

On receiving information about the presence of the bodies, police reached the Rindgarh area and took the bodies to the civil hospital.

“Both the bodies could not be identified till midnight,” police said, adding that post-mortem of the bodies would be conducted on Thursday (today).

Quoting hospital sources, police said that bullet wounds were found on the head, chest and other parts of the two bodies. They said the bodies appeared to be about seven days old.
