New ambulances for Rescue 1122

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has provided four new ambulances to Rescue 1122 to open new emergency centres in parts of the provincial metropolis.

Yaseen Khalil, advisor to the chief minister, visited the provincial headquarters of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emergency Rescue Service Rescue 1122 on Friday and handed over keys of the ambulances to its officials.

On this occasion, Rescue 1122 director general Asad Ali Khan briefed Mr Khalil about role of the rescue services.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson Bilal Ahmad said that the ambulances were fully equipped and could help provide first-aid to patients and wounded people on the spot before shifting them to the hospital. He said that new points would be set up to reduce emergency response time.
