Opposition dissatisfied with Balochistan govt’s work

QUETTA: Opposition parties in Balochistan expressed on Sunday dissatisfaction over the performance of the provincial government since it came to power seven months ago but at the same time assured it that they would not create any problem in its way and let it complete its tenure.Addressing a meeting held to mark the 5th death anniversary of BNP leader Malik Abdul Ali Kakar here on Sunday, leaders of the Balochistan National Party-Mengal, Awami National Party, PPP, Jamaat-i-Islami and Hazara Democratic Party paid rich tribute to the late politician and said he had played a vital role for the unity of Baloch and Pakhtun people in the province.

They lauded the struggle of Mr Kakar during the freedom movement and against the autocratic rulers and said that he never compromised on his principles and people’s democratic rights.

They said the late leader was a close associate of Bacha Khan, Khan Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai, Mir Ghous Bakhsh Bizenjo and Sardar Ataullah Mengal and added that if successive governments had adopted the principles of these leaders there would not have been political acrimony in the country today.

Dr Jehanzeb Jamaldani, acting organiser of the BNP, presided over the meeting, while Dr Inyatullah Khan of ANP, Bismillah Khan Kakar of PPP, Abdul Matin Akundzada of JI, Reza Wakil of HDP, Rauf Mengal and Malik Wali Kakar of BNP made speeches.
