Khusro’s son acquitted
LAHORE, Dec 14: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday acquitted the son of former Lahore commissioner Khusro Pervez involved in the murder of his class fellow.
Accused Shan Muhammad allegedly shot dead Hamza Elahi, lone son of local trader Fazal Elahi. Complainant Fazal Elahi submitted a statement to the court about forgiving the accused. The judge relying on the statement acquitted the accused.
Burki police had registered the case. The accused had told the police investigators he killed Hamza accidentally. He claimed he was trying to remove a bullet from the chamber of the gun which accidentally went off and hit Hamza.
D&SJs: The Lahore High Court chief justice has placed the services of District and Sessions Judge (D&SJ) Syed Shujaat Ali Tirmizi at the disposal of the Punjab government for his posting as presiding officer of the Punjab Labour Court No V, Sargodha, against an existing vacancy.
Also, the services of D&SJ Rai Nazir Ahmad have been placed at the disposal of the provincial government for his posting as presiding officer of the Punjab Labour Court No IX, Multan.
